Experience
I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist experienced in working with teenagers, adults and groups across a variety of mental health difficulties.
I provide an integrative Cognitive Behavioural approach which means I am also able to utilise a wide range of techniques from other therapeutic approaches such as Person Centered Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Mindfulness. I will help you set goals, explore and understand the difficulties you are facing, and develop helpful coping strategies by teaching you the skills you need to become your own therapist.
I attend regular clinical supervision with a BABCP accredited supervisor which allows me to continually monitor and improve my practice, and I work and adhere to their code of practice and ethical principles
Having personally benefited from CBT I know how important it is to find the right chemistry and relationship with your therapist which is why I founded Spire. I will always provide a confidential, safe, non-judgmental space where you will be listened to, and where we can explore your challenges and make positive change.
I have experience working with:
Anxiety & Social Anxiety | Depression & Low Mood | Trauma & PTSD |
Low self-esteem | Confidence building | Stress management |
Anger management | Phobias | OCD |
Addictions & Substance misuse | Relationship issues | School issues & Peer relationships |
Perfectionism | Self-harm | Suicidal ideation |
I can provide face to face, online and telephone therapy and counselling. I also facilitate group therapy and psychoeducative workshops.
I hold the relevant professional qualifications, coupled with specialised training and practice as an integrative CBT psychotherapist.
I believe it is important to keep my practice current and to use the latest research and evidence based practices. I regularly undertake continued professional development (CPD) and training.
I am fully insured to practice and I am enrolled with Disclosure Scotland's Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. All certificates, insurances and qualifications are available to any of my clients to review.
I assist with the development of trainee therapists on a recognised diploma qualification. I am a young people mentor via the MCR Pathways programme in a Glasgow secondary school, and I am the founder of a Scottish charity that supports disadvantaged children and families throughout Glasgow.
What my clients say
It is a privilege to be in a position where I can help my clients experience positive changes and seeing their progress is hugely rewarding. With their permission, I am able to share what some of my clients had to say about their therapeutic experience with me.
We know that taking the first step engaging with therapy can feel daunting which is why we offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation. We would love to speak to you and answer any questions you have.
